Mend Renault Megane Starting

My Renault Megane wont start and making a clicking noise?

A week or so ago My Renault Megane starting to cut out as tho it was out of petrol, although i have over half a tank in there, i didnt put the wrong fuel in. now it won't start and is making a clicking noise from the left hand side of the dash board.

I've tried to do the code thing, but i dont have my keycode so i can't find out the code.

i had a problem like this.... dash lights on .. interior light on ect.. ect... all i got was a clicking noise and sameone on here told me to try tightened the battery terminals and it work
