Mend Hotpoint WM75P Worn Brushes

Hotpoint 1200 ultima wm75p ?

My hotpoint 1200 ultima wm75P came up with an error code E30 which meant worn out brushes, so i changed them.It still cuts out and bleeps with the E30 code up.The drum seems quite hard to turn ,could it be the bearing has given up the ghost as well?
