VW T4 GEAR SELECTOR HOUSING ?

ON MY N`REG T4 MY GEARS HAVE BECOME SLOPPY ,I BELIEVE SOMETHING HAS BROKEN OFF IN GEAR SELECTOR HOUSING AND GONE INTO GEARBOX ,IT DRIVES INTO ALL GEARS OK BUT REALY I SHOULD TRY FIX THIS ASAP! I CAN`T EVEN GEYT THE HOUSING OFF THE GEARBOX ? ANY IDEAS ?
