How do I stop the Tamper Alarm on my Optima XM6?

I am trying to redecorate and need to move one of the movement detectors, however, whenever I try to remove the front cover of the detector to unscrew it from its current position it sets off the Tamper Alarm.

It's designed to do that - you need to set it off then enter your code (to stop the noise) then you can move it and decorate. Replace it and reset the system if you need to go out.
