Re-Humax PVR 9200T?

I too am in the Winter Hill area and have had a tremendous amount of problems since the digital changeover. My remote control suffers unacceptable delays , sometimes does not work at all and will not revert to play when fast forwarding. I have contacted Humax and had a "round robin" reply stating that they "hope" to have a downloadable solution within the next "couple of weeks" ! This I find totally unacceptable, in consideration of the price that we paid, I also have other cheapie digiboxes that have retuned without any trouble and actually receive the likes of BBC1 & BBC2 on channels 1 & 2, unlike Humax where many of the channels are in the 800's. Is there anything that anyone can suggest that will collectively put more pressure on Humax to resolve this ridiculous situation?

I got through to Humax support after waiting in a phone queue for 20 mins. They said they have updated software but couldnt download it over the air until January. But if I had computer they would send it as an attachment to an e-mail. I also said that after retuning, channels 1 & 2 were now BBC1 Wales & BBC2 Wales, BBC North west (the ones I want) are now on channels 800 & 801. They said they would also send instructions on how to overcome this.
As promised the e-mail arrived with the attachments, the only problem was a RS323C Null Modem cable is required to transfer the software to the PVR. I decided to go through the retuning process 1st & do the software transfer later when I had obtained a cable. After retuning the PVR is now working perfectly & I havnt updated the software. It looks like the problems were caused by the machine getting conflicting data from the Winter Hill & Wesh transmitters.
For anyone with the same problem I have reproduced the process below.
Note the details might be different for someone in another transmission area.

Please follow these steps to refresh the tuners and manually tune into your local
transmitter
1.. Power OFF the receiver
2.. Disconnect the Aerial cable
3.. Power On the receiver
4.. Press MENU
5.. Select Installation
6.. Enter your password (default = 0000)
7.. Select Default Setting
8.. Select YES
9.. Enter your password (Default = 0000)
10.. When the receiver restarts, power off
11.. Reconnect the Aerial cable
12.. Power on the Box
13.. Press ok on stop (when you see automatic search)
14.. 'No channels found' press ok
15.. 'Press ok to search channels' press ok
16.. Select Manual search
Then please follow the steps below.
The following procedure will allow you to receive signal from the winter hill.
Please go down to Network Search and select enable.
Then go to Channel and select 62.
Then select Search. When the search has finished, press save.

With Network Search enabled this should find all the channels on all multiplexes.
However if this does not find all channels you will have to search the multiplexes
individually.

To do this please switch Network Search back to Disable and search the following
channels one after the other, selecting save after each search;
62, 59, 58, 61, 55, 54

Kind Regards
