Mend BT Freestyle3200 Quad Not Possible Screen

Showing not possible on screen?

Although fully charged, when the phone is switched on, no dialling tone, and continuos engaged signal. The model is a BT Freestyle3200 Quad. It is one of a pair, and the other unit is working correctly. Is there a simple way of correcting this?
