Mend Miele W 500 Machine Wont Switch

my miele distinction 500 washing machine won't switch on?

the machine won't come on,no lights,nothing.
this happened before,and the tech support line gave me a simple thing to do,mentioning a software/circuitry quirk.I can't remember what it is.any idea?

check the fuse, if thats ok. check that there is no water in the drum and open the door with the manual door release (see your instruction book). if your lucky then it will probably work now!
