I have a advent 4211C notebook - bought 12months ago used web cam then not ?

I have an advent 4211C bought 12 months ago to take on holiday used web cam then but when I have tried to use today cannot get green light on Pressed fn and f6 and a little box comes on screen then off again Help need contactwith grandkids at christmas
