Stiil lighting?

I did post an answer, it seems to have vanished!
OS XP Home. Printer Epson RX425.
The sequence is a downloadable service utility called SSC Service Utility and is supposed to fix the printer when all the lights on the left panel start to flash together. It is then unusable.
From what I understand now this is caused by the sponges getting full beneath the cartridges. I now need to know how to get them out, can they be replaced and/or is it ever worth it?

Sorry about that. It's an Epson RX425 with all lights flashing. I downloaded and installed the SSC Service Utility and followed advice but most of the lights are still whizzing away.
It seems there is a sponge somewhere within the multi printer that needs cleaning or renewing but as the cartridge carriage won't move I have no idea where it is.
The local shop of course only want to sell me a new printer.

It would be a good idea to provide a little more information - as it stands the make and model are a mystery
the sequence you performed is a mystery
the lights you talk of are a mystery
and you don't mention what is wrong with your printer

My suggestion is a new question...
