Mend Hitachi HDR082 Flashing Light Hear

hitachi hdr082 freeview recorder will not boot?

The blue flashing light comes on and you can hear the
hard drive running and the panel displays "starting"but
it just keeps cycling on and off and will not go any
further.

Hi,
I have the same problem with a sharp model, I got in touch with sharp and they said tht the hard drive needs replacing when this fault appears.
I am trying to ind out now how to replace the internal Hard Drive
