Indesit tumble dryer not warming up?

Our indesit tumble dryer warning light which showa when the water tray is full is on when we turn the dryer on. If we tip the dryer over water comes out of the machine and then the dryer will work for a short while but the warning light comeson and the dryer doesn't heat up.
