storage heating help?

iv got slimline creda storage heaters, iv been told to put the input dial to medium so it heats up during the nite then use the output dial to use the heat during the day, but there are 5 symbol settings on the heater i have a snowflake, timer,on off, sun and moon do i put it on the moon symbol to heat at nite im confused please help!!!
