the picture on my toshiba is compressed to about 2 inches high and the full width of the screen, in the midle of the screen. the pitcure looks as if it upside down too. i think maybe the picture has to be adjusted so its stretched out. if that is it... how would i go about fixing it?
It cannot be adjusted out as it is a fault.
It's a fairly common tv fault and if the set is not very old and the picture was generally good before it failed, it's probably worth repairing. Expect the cost to most likely be around £40-£60 or ask your TV repairer for an estimate.
