grindin noise comin from the drum?

It might not be the bearings. Check around the inside of the door seal, for any obstructions that may be catching on the drum, another favorite is bra wires which find their way through the holes in the drum and catch on the inside. Removing these can be tricky as it requires you to remove the heater element. To test the bearings see if you have any lateral movement in the drum, if so then it's probably the bearings.
