Mend Kenwood Switched Turn Power

Kenwood Midi system - amp shudders when switched on?

My midi system will not work. As soon as I turn on power, the amp (i think) clicks on and off rapidly (about ten times per sec) like there is a solenoid switching back and forth.
Any ideas?
