I have a philips GoGear 16GB. Suddenly stopped working?

I bought a brand new philips GoGear 16GB. While I was flipping through songs, it froze on me. I tried to turn it off... but it would not. So, I reset it. It no longer works. My computer beeps when I plug the mp3 in to charge, but it does not show on my computer. Is there any way to fix this?
