Most modern washing machine door locks have a release catch on the locking mechanism "INSIDE" the machine.
**EXTREMELY IMPORTANT**
Firstly you have to switch off at the mains and unplug from the socket otherwise you might get an electric shock.
Then take off the washing machine lid, which should be 2 - 4 screws at the back and then lift the lid from the back upwards to move the front part of the lid away from any locating pins, then remove the lid.
Reach down inside the front of the machine to where the door latch is and there should either be a small button to press or a small sticking out latch that when moved with a finger should release the door locking mechanism.
Alternatively if you do not wish to open the lid get a strong piece of cord or a single piece of electrical wire (green/yellow: blue; brown) about 2-3ft long and push this in between the door and the machine at the point where the lock is with about 1-1.5ft above the lock area and 1-1.5ft below the lock area.
Grip both ends of the cord/wire in separate hands and pull gently but firmly towards the hinged side of the door; this will force the door catch holding the door in place to release and the door will open.
Good Luck
