Mend Thorn Source Required Hello

Thorn User Manual source required?

Hello folks, I've adopted a lumbering Thorn M56/76C boiler with a new house purchase and am unsure about the controls (On-Once seems not to work etc).
Does anyone know of a source for a User Manual? (NOT installation manual)
Or anyone who is familiar with this animal prepared to advise me on the controls?

Sam.

Hi Martin and Sam

I know we're going back a long time but. like you, I have inherited a Thorn EMI 56/76 boiler and really could do with a user manual. If you could send it I would be very grateful - cdallyn61 followed by normal gmali.com
Thanks

Hi Martin

I read your thread that you have Thorn M56/76 manual. Would be kind enough to email it to me too please - gregoryzim which is suffixed by the normal gmail.com Fingers crossed :)

Thank you Martin & Peccavi for your help - sorry about the length of time to reply, I was browsing far and wide and almost forgot that I'd posted the question here. If you could e mail what you have Martin I would be very grateful indeed I'm andrew.samuel 'at' vonne.org.uk and in case that gets 'cut out' from this reply I'm here; http://www.vonne.org.uk/policy/sectorissues/ict/index.php?flink=406

It's very old...

Manufacturer:Thorn EMI Heating
Model Marathon 56/76c
Fuel Type Gas
Boiler Type Conventional
Method Non-Condensing
Flue Type Open
Fan No Fan
Output (kW) 16.4 - 22.3
Manufactured From/To Unknown - 1983
SAP seasonal efficiency 65%

There are sites on the web that might sell you a manual but its age is against you I suspect.

It may be due for a service - the engineer might know how it operates if he's long in the tooth.

Good luck...
