Mend BMW 323i Reset Car Alarm

HOW TO RESET MY CAR ALARM?

When I turn my engine off my car alarm sounds. I have an R reg BMW 323i tourer. I can turn the alarm off immediately with my remote fob. Do you know how I can reset the alarm system to stop this from happening?
