Mend Compaq Presario Stuck Open Manual

My CD drive gets stuck. Is there preventive maintenance for that?

Compaq Presario- My E drive will not open with the manual button nor with going to My computer, right-clicking on Eject. It will open with the paperclip in the little hole (thanks for that tip). Is there some lubricant or something to make it work properly?

Not that I have ever come a cross. They are FRUs (Filed Replaceable Units) that is to say the are not mended the are replaced.

Why not take the opportunity to upgrade to a faster CD drive CDR or DVD they're quite cheap now and very easy to install.
