I have an old baxi 57/4m-45/4m and i cannot light the pilot light i have a gas flow through the fire but when i try and get the pilot to light it will not ignite i can hear the gas going through when i push the grey button fully in though

Press the piezo igniter a few times rapidly - can you see a spark? If not, the igniter has probably failed but you could light the pilot light with a long match.
