Mend Ryobi PLT2543 Spark Coil Engine

RYOBI PLT2543?

Having cleaned an oiled up spark plug, I am still unable to get a spark from the coil to the engine. can you help please.

few things to check. is the coil pack close enough to the flywheel? it should just brush past, not touching, but as close as possible. if still not working, check plug cap. There is a spring inside the cap, one end should fit around top of plug itself and other end should be making a connection with the ht lead. Other thing to check is kill swith connections. finally, maybe another plug?
