How do i disassemble my kenmore 90 series washing machine?

my kenmore 90 series washing machine model #110.28912790 will fill & empty but will not spin. when it go to agitate it may spin a very small amount but it mostly will not spin. I tried to look at the inside to check motor or other parts but i dont know how to dissasemble this. I took to back off but i still cant really see. What could be the problem? and how do i disassemble it to try to fix it? Is it even worth it?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a broken motor coupling. Motor runs, but no spin/agitate the coupling is the first place I would look. It is between the motor and the gearcase. You can open your washer and probably see little black shavings under the washer indicating a bad coupling.

Heres how to access:

The whole cabinet is removed in one piece. Start by removing the plastic endcaps (if you have them) on your console. Once these are removed, remove the screws to the console and pull the console towards the front slightly then flipping it back. Under the console you will see the lid switch connector, unplug it. Stick a flat screwdriver into the clips and push handle toward the rear of the washer to release the clips. Once those are out stand in front of the washer grab the middle and side of the cabinet and rock it toward you and place it out of the way.
