sears kenmore model no 110 92597200 will not agitate. what is the problem?

I have just repaired my sears Kenmore model no 110 92597200 - Problem - will not agitate, but it sounds like the motor is running.
The fix is most likely one of the two possibilities:
1. My problem was that the coupling between the motor and transmission had broken and was slipping. This is a three-piece replacement part that should cost $20.00 or less. This is replaced by laying the washer on its back side and working from the bottom, remove the two hoses from the pump, remove the two metal clamps holding the pump in place and remove. Remove the wire connections. Remove the two metal clamps that hold the motor and remove motor, this will give you access to the coupling. Be careful to put the coupling on the right shaft of the motor. I used the replacement parts with the metal inserts reinforcements and had to tap them onto the shafts with a small hammer and socket. Put back together in reverse order. 2. In the top end of the agitator inside the drum there are four small (nylon?) parts that grip on the ribs or notches in side that break or go bad. You can check this easily by popping the cap. Replacement of these parts is easy to figure out – remove the bolt down inside. I have replaced these however do not remember the cost. If everything else works well on the washer then these repairs are worth it. I hope this information helps someone out.
