how can i fix my eurocal oil fired boiler?

I have had this trouble, but only when the boiler is cold. I think it could be to do with air polluted by fumes being drawn into the boiler. I solved my problem by removing the baffle from the face of the flue outside, thus directing the fumes away from the air intake. Also check the air intake for cobwebs, etc., which impede the air flow.

could be several things - IN THIS ORDER 1) CHECK FUEL IS BEING DELIVERED 2) CHECK AND CLEAN PHOTOCELL ON BURNER 3) RENEW NOZZLE ON BURNER
4) RENEW ELECTONIC IGNITION UNIT AND CONTROL BOX - CONTROL BOXES ON THESE BABIES BURN OUT FOR FUN AND THEY BLOW THE IGNITION UNIT.
WHEN TRYING TO IGNITE FEEL THE TOP OF THE CONTROL BOX - IF ITS HOT ITS BLOWN - PLUMB CENTRE SELLS ALL

after about 12 seconds you should hear the flame actually light, if so check the following:
1) CHECK that you definately have oil in the Tank
2) Check the Filters are clean
3) Check The Fire Valve has not tripped
4) Under the Red Cover on the Burner you will
find a Photocell, pull it out and clean the front
clear part
5) Call an OFTEC Registered Service Engineer
