vauxhall zafira ?

as i was driving the service light came on, engine made a funny noise, you couldn't drive over 60mph, the revs would drop and you would lose exeleration,got home took service light off, exeleration has come back but theres like a ticking noise, but the car is running fine, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be.....thanks
