Mend 1000a Washing Machine Spin Drum

my service caress 1000a won't spin if clothes in but will if empty?

why will it spin if empty but not if loaded with washing? it takes water out of drum but clothes are still ringing wet.

suspect motor brushes are worn, easy to spin a empty drum a lot more effort is required from the motor with soaking wet clothes.
