Aha done it. 1st turn off the POWER, 2nd turn off water, 3rd check power is OFF, 4th may be useful to drain all the water!!
Slide top forward whilst squeezing clips under the rear of top.
Remove retaining screws on right hand outer panel (found on front edge when door open) needs a little jiggling to free panel!
Heater at bottom to rear test it before you attempt to remove it & once confirmed you will benefit from the removal of all of the looms & wiring! CHECK THE POWER!
Heater is retained by a clip/ catch arrangement for which I'm sure there is a tool to assist but managed it with a couple of tea spoons! The clips are plastic sprung lugs that are prevented from releasing by a back stop that needs to be pushed out of the way to allow the catch to be "popped". Bit difficult as there are 4 of the little blighters.
This is where the spoons were handy & finally I was greeted by a burnt out element inside a shield! Off in the morning to get (hopefully) the new bits. May have been possible to cut the old lugs off but there's not a lot of room to play with & I wouldn't do this unless I had the new one beforehand!
