how do you get the cistern lid off a close coupled Villeroy and Boch push button operated toilet.

D.I.Y, Toilets Lid Off Push Button Toilet Cistern

This question has already been answered. You push down the half flush button and lever up the full flush button. Twist away the FF button and pull up the half flush button. Undo the plastic screw head revealed and the whole thing lifts up and clear.
