how do i cut granite and polish it?

I did this a few weeks ago with results that surprised me. I used a diamond cutting wheel on an angle grinder and a guide that I clamped to the worktop. I had to ensure that the guid was at true right angles with the clean edge of the worktop and make careful calculations for offsets to account for the distance of the blade from the guide as well as the thickness of the cuttinh wheel.

To polish, I used a set of diamond impregnated rubbing discs which had to be used with water.

Perfect results.
