Why does my elec window only work when the door is open?

just had the same problem with mine,drivers door open windows work shut the door nothing works,you need to take door panel off,disconect all electric connections in the door,then you need to slowly pull the harness from the inside of the car drivers side foot well through the door,look for the thick green wire this was the one that was broke on mine hope this helps

This is because the wire is breaking up as it goes from car to door ( by the hinge ) renew the wire will only need to replace a few inches, take fuse out before messing around wire the wire
