Mend Up While Turned Off

Computer blew up while turned off!!?

I was listening to some music on my computer, i turned the computer off, 5 minutes later something in the computer made a loud bang, some smoke and a nasty smell came out. Have opened computer up and can't see what has exploded, computer no longer even turns on, any ideas welcome.

Sounds like the power supply unit has gone. When you open up the PC its the large grey box that the power leads plug into. Might be a good idea to take it to somewhere like PC World for testing.
