Mend Packard Bell Light Started Turned

laptop will not come on?

i have a packad belle laptop tried to switch on light came on started up for a few seconds then turned itself off tried a few times also tried with battery in and out also with a different charger came on for a while until homepage came up then it switched off again any ideas what it might be tats causing this problem
