gas hob knob has lost the metal bit to hold it on?

I have a Homark gas hob 02-710124F. One of the knobs has lost the little metal spring to hold it on the on/off stem. How do I mend it or where do I get a replacement ?

Go to an oldfashioned electrical shop and buy a cheap control knob that has a similar retaing clip - here's one....
