Mend Veritas System Reset Code

how can I reset a veritas alarm system?

Can anyone help - we've just bought a house with a veritas alarm. Prior us getting the house the power had been turned off at the mains and now when we turn it on the alarm beeps all the time. We don't have a code (and can't get one - the house was a repossession). Is there anything we can do to sort this out and reset the alarm with our code without having to pay huge call out charges and all the rest, plus wait a week as no one can get to us till the end of next week?

Hi John

Can you help?? I have a Veritas alarm and I want the back door to be an additional entry point (set a delay). How can I do this without having a service contract?

Can you tell me what version of the Veritas control panel looses its programmed User code back to factory defaults when all power is removed, never come across that one before, must be a new version?

Turn power off (or remove fuse from spurbox near by)
also remove battery terminal, then re-instate battery and power supply, as soon as you have done that enter 4321 press "PROG" button then 60, Enter a new
four figure code, press "PROG" again, then "RESET"
The panel should now go quiet. You will now have your new code entered. Just press "FULL" to set the alarm
enter code to unset.
