Eileen. Open the door of the machine, pull the lip of the rubber seal back and wipe RIGHT ROUND THE FULL RIM with a damp cloth. This area, which is hidden from view, gathers, what can only be described as "Yucky gunge". When you pull your clothes out of the machine, the lip pulls back as you do so, possibly rubbing off some of this gunk onto your clean clothes.
If you know how to clean the rubber seal do this before contacting the engineers. If the rubber door seal is spotless, another possibilty is that the drums main bearing, may be faulty and can leak a small amount of grease/lubricant into the casing of the drum. Is the machine whining/squealing or more noisey than usual when the drum turns???? Whilst the inside of the drum may look shiney and clean, the grease is deposited on the interior side. Take a cotton bud and push it PART OF THE WAY into one of the holes in the drum. Twist it once or twice and remove. If the bud is brown/grey, the bearing may be faulty and leaking lubricant. Contact the shop where purchased and have it repaired free of charge under guarantee.
