how to change a transformer?

Isolate appropriate lighting circuit at consumer unit

Pull out downlight to gain access to transformer if in ceiling void or look for transformer on top of kitchen cabinets - i.e. Find Your transformer.

Disconnect mains input wires and low voltage output wires

Take transformer to lighting specialist shop (best) or DIY store and seek equivalent or better.

Put back in reverse order - test.
