Mend Triton Opal 2 Shower

How can you tell which part is faulty? Triton Opal 2 electric shower?

I tried the cardboard/plastic trick for the microswitch. No change, still low pressure light and cold water!! How can one tell whether it is the solenoid or the PCB which is faulty?

I am thinking of changing the shower but the question is whether all showers have the same point of entry (so that the plumbing need not be changed)?
