Mend Electrolux Genesis Replace 15 Years

How do I replace the belt for an Electrolux Genisis Vaccum Cleaner?

My Electrolux Genesis (upright) Vaccum Cleaner is at least 15 years old, and finally has broken the belt. I have the bottom cover off, but CAN NOT get the roller to come out of the holder. Help!!!!
