how to put the coil back into a strimmer?

how can i put my flymo petrol strimmer back together ? i pulled the string to start it for the 2nd time and the string came out and i took it apart and the coil all came out .and a small metal clip dropped out from somewer and and everytime i try and get it back in it just flirts out again.is there a easier way of putting it back together?
