Mend Fiat Ducato Gearbox Normal Gear

gearbox?

is it normal for the gear to be notchy when put into 1st gear? its a fiat ducato 1995 2.5.

try changing gearbox oil. sometimes rainwater finds its way into gearbox, because it runs from the scuttle panel drain pipe, straight on to top of gearbox. (there was a modified pipe availble but you can modify yours to point away from gearbox) when gearbox oil is drained it will be watery and there will be lots of it!
