Epson Stylus Photo RX500 keeps freezing?

My Epson Stylus Photo RX500 keeps freezing. The only way to clear it is to remove the power lead as it won't even turn off. How do I fix it?

Mine is doing the same thing. I took it to a repair shop and they said it needs a new main circuit board at $170. I can't find one online, so I will likely just buy a new printer.
