My AEG-OKO Lavamat 74620 shows an error of C9?

I spoke too early. The reset worked, error message gone, but the drum doesn't turn. I guess it's time to call the experts.

Thank you "Shaun The Sheep", your answer from 10 years ago seems working for me. I have an old 73620, had the C9 error. Just restarted, so far it runs as it should.

I have the same washing machine but it stopped at 12min showing a C3 code before it stopped. how can i continue the cycle now?

C9 error code did appear in my LAV 76665 update. I did give a reset with the procedure. C9 code disapeared. Then I did atempt to start a washing cycle again: water comes in, but there was no drum movement. I've inspected the motor brushes (these look good). I'd try to move the drum manualy, but it is very hard to do. I think the drum is stucked (probably the bearing failed). It is not too good, because we don't have any troubleshooting procedure from AEG Electrolux. Failure codes don't address a failure mode with an error code directly. So, this is not too good.

ok well this isnt an answer it is a question. . . my washer is doing the same thing with the C9 and flashing a rinse+ and prewash. . . i tried turning the drum around twice ive tried unplugging it and pressing every button combo i could think of HELP!!!!!! i have 2 kids and alot of laundry to do.

Thanks, it works on my oko 73620 too. Turning it around 360 twice and hold the start button. Saved some money here.

We got the C9 and Pre-wash & Rinse+ LEDs flashing.
Reset using Off-2-Off.
Tested with Gentle rinse: water OK, but no drum rotation. Tested Short Spin: Pump OK but no rotation.
Opened door (first time) and rotated drum by hand - smooth.
Shut door carefully and tested short spin: OK.
Suspect: door safety switch.
We will find out if this is correct in due course.

Replacing the motor brushes got rid of the C9 code, now it stops at 8 min's before end of wash.
will restart and finish wash if start button is pressed

we have checked the brushes (replaced a year ago)sanded down the commutator and tested resistence across the motor terminals which was ok and managed to restart the programne but the drum does not turn. Any ideas?

yes i have tried all the above...cheers guys, and yes the door opened, the washer worked but sadly did not spin, engine brushes require to be replaced now i guess on my 9 year old washer...sob sob any idea about the costs?

When C9 appeared on my OKO I cleaned the filter and opened the door with the turnkey by the filter. Needed the door closed to reset it using the Off2off with start button depressed. Thanks, saved me the call out fee and time.

This sequence clears the error message, and so enables you to open the door.

But there's no guarantee the motor will still turn the drum...

my 10 yr old machine was showing error c9. I managed to reset it by Holding the Start Button whilst turning the dial through 360 (from Off-2-Off). I did this twice and then the second time normal operation was resumed.

We have had our AEG Lavamat Oko 86720 for over 8 years. We too got the C9 Error Code.

I managed to reset it by Holding the Start Button whilst turning the dial through 360 (from Off-2-Off). I did this twice and then the second time normal operation was resumed.

Not sure how long this will keep the C9 error code away, but at least it allowed us to continue using the machine.

If you use the reset code you can use it as normal. Set selector dial to off. Hold in "pre wash" and "soaking" buttons together. Turn the selector dial anti clockwise from "off" to "short spin". Turn the selector dial clockwise to "energy saving" Voila! Fixed Machine!! Hope this helps!!

I gather this is a problem with the motor brushes.

I have the same problem right now. Hopefully will have it fixed today or tomorrow.
