How do I fix my Fisher & Paykel MW511 washing machine?

My washing machine threw up an error/fault code on the short wash light (4) and the spin light (1). I got a tech repair fellow out who showed me the overide for that - holding the cold wash button and the power button down together while machine beeps three times. Yes that worked most of the time. Sometimes I had to switch off power at power point and set again. Now this doesn't work either and a second error message comes up on the rinse (2) and the spin (1). Any help appreciated.

have replaced
1.motor control module
2.cold water valve
Machine works well until RINSE (will not complete cycle)
Bypass rinse and machine completes the cycle (no problems)
Ran diagnostics = 136 = 10001000 (phase 1-6-motor stall)
Does not make sense to a layman.
What is the problem?

Hello I have a fault can you help.
I have a fisher and paykel MW511 and the following lights are on
From left to right , light 5 is green (short wash)
Wash temp light is on warm
Spin speed light is on hold.

If you press power button again it just shows cold light nothing else. Press it again and it turns off

Can you help or tell me what's wrong please?

Just bought a 2nd hand machine. Was told it did not spin so I thought a could fix it. Upon getting it home and turning it on there was no power getting to it.
Plugged it in and nothing.
No lights , no noise.
Any tips?

My MW511 has stopped with error lights 3. 4, 5 all green. What does this mean fills okay, but wont agitate, will spin if put into spin mode

Your advice came in very handy. We have had our Fisher & Paykel MW511 for almost 7 years already and up until now we couldn't get it to Spin and Lock as it just kept trying to pump the water out.

So, I followed your directions and what do you know, the 3rd, 4th and 5th leds were lit, so then we called the company and found out it just needed a little cleaning under the Aggitator.

And Yes, by cleaning under the Aggitator it then decided to Spin and Lock like it use to.

Strange advice to be given by a repair tech. Why did he not fix the fault instead of telling you to override it? Hold down cold wash button then press power on button. Let those buttons go & press spin speed up button until hold & slow spin lights are on. At this setting tell me what lights are on along the top row. Then I can help.
