How can I fix my Whirlpool washing machine?

my AWM6145/3 washer completes approx half its wash cycle, about 30 mins on daily wash and 15 mins on rapid, has completed a spin and drain, and then stops with error code F06. Switching off and restarting at that point reports the same error. Looking at other repair sites, although there is nothing specific for this model, other Whirlpool frontloaders use F06 as a motor tachometer error code. I have checked the connections at the motor and cleared away the spiders webs. The machine is about 2 years old. Any advice?
