Mend Tricity Bendix Washing Machine Work Door Lock

Washing machine does not work after taking off door to fix lock?

The door on our Tricity Bendix Washer 1000 AW1053W washing machine was not closing. I removed the door, freed up the lock mechanism and replaced it. Now all that works is the power on light and I hear a click when I select a program. Now I wish I hadn't unscrewed the white plastic part that the door lock goes into which probably had nuts and maybe a sensor connected at the back. It won't screw back on now. Oops!
