How to raise the lid of a Kenmore Washer model # 110.22292100 I need to gain access to the lid switch

Slide a flat blade in between the top deck & front panel about 2 inches from right corner. Move it along until you contact the holding clip. Pull blade out slightly & manouvre it to push in on the clip & pull up on the top deck at same time. Repeat for the left hand side as well.
