Mend Kenmore 110.2880390 Machine Washer Level

My Kenmore 80 Series Model 110.2880390 Washer ?

Our wash machine is overflowing. No matter if the water level setting is set to small, medium, or large loads it still overfills and starts running onto the floor. Is this caused by a bad timer or something else? Any help would be much appreciated!

mine does that as well and it is usually because it is off balance and for whatever reason it starts to overflow. I've had to remove clothing while it is soaking wet and then redistribute the clothing so that there is equal weight on all sides and then start again.
