my fridge seems to be keeping the correct temp and is functioning correctlly apart from when i open the door the light flashes like a disco and the control panel flashes in time with the light.
I forgot to precise i put 3 x 0,33uf in parallell :)

Thanks for the solution, this condensator, 1uf 275V decreased to 0,33uf and the compressor had not enough power to work. The relay did a beep every second like he was switching on and off directly. Not enough power also for the led controller.
We replaced with 3 condensator of 0,33uf 600vac because we didn't have 1uf 275v in stock.
And the compressor started directly.
So thanks you for the tip :)-

I had the same problem, found pictorial fix at
http://www.elisanet.fi/mtj/santo/AEG-Santo-fix.html
which unfortunately routes you to a Finish supplier, however the sent me this link to a UK supplier

and now my fridge is working fine again!

Again...Exactly the same problem (which has now developed into an annoying alarm warning siganl whenever the door opens. It remains on when the door is closed again and has to be muted manually.) I am convinced that original (light) problem is a built in fault. I am interested to read that most (if not all) of these faults occur when the unit is 4-5 years old.....Dont think ill buy AEG again. Back to Bosch or Smeg for me.
Same problem with mine. The temperature is OK so I think I will leave it to flash. However, the flashing is so regular it looks like a signal, trying to tell me something. Has anyone got a manual for these fridges?

the supple for de electronic is build op with an condensator 1uF 440v, when capacity of this condensator is to low then the voltage for the electronics drops to low for correct working, the light and the relais for the compressor fails. replace this condensator !!!
