Mend Dyson DC04 Find Correct Going

Find correct DC04 motor?

Am going to try to replace the motor on grey/lime DC04 but know there are several different types.
How do I find which one to order?
Am I right in thinking I'll have to strip the cleaner down to the motor to get the details off it.

Well, you would have to strip your DC04 down to change the old motor for the new one so you will lose nothing by taking the machine apart before you order the new motor...
